Larry LaPlant started LaPlant Dental Lab in 1970. In 1976, Larry partnered with former co-worker Gary Joslin to create L.E. LaPlant Dental Laboratory Inc. Almost 30 years later, the two continue their strong and balanced partnership. In 1979, the lab was moved to its current location in the Oak Grove Professional Building at 1640 Main Street. Since that time, the lab has steadily grown to nearly 20 full-time staff members.

The lab prides itself on the highest level of service, following strict quality control standards that have been in place since the lab’s creation. As the lab has grown, the use of new technology continues to evolve and improve our products. LaPlant Dental prides itself on introducing proven new technology and using those products to continue to set an industry standard in quality.

Larry LaPlant Owner / General Manager Larry started his career in the industry in 1962 and founded LaPlant Dental Lab in 1970. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, he sets and maintains the quality control standards that make the lab a favorite of demanding dentists. Larry prides himself on the quality service the lab provides and the long-term relationships he has cultivated with his customers. Larry is a member of the Crown Council, the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA), and a former officer of the Wisconsin Dental Lab Association.
Gary Joslin Owner / Lab Manager Gary has over 35 years of experience in the lab industry -- including four years as a chair side dental assistant and technician is the U.S. Navy. He is dedicated to the technological skills required to stay competitive in the industry and very experienced in large-scale implant procedures. Gary also has extensive knowledge of all types of removable prosthetics done in conjunction with fixed C&B work. He specializes in implant consultations with the doctors and is routinely involved in treatment planning.
Tom Joslin Owner / Assistant Lab Manager Tom has over 20 years of experience in the lab industry. He started his career at LaPlant Dental Lab and his talent was obvious immediately. He is a gifted technician who strives for perfection in every case he works on. Brought into the business by his father, he continues to enjoy a very close working relationship with him. Tom is the lead quality control person for all outgoing products.
